Animated GIFs - Animated Graphic Image Files, or motion graphics.

CGI/Forms - CGI is a scripting language that allows us to make interactive forms with databases. In other words, it allows fo you to have features such as feedback forms, order forms, etc. on your site.

Cold Fusion - another scripting language, which aids in interactivity between the web surfer and the page.

Download - the process of taking data off of an internet site and putting it on your computer hard drive.

Flash - A multimedia/graphics program that creates online-viewable video, sound, and motion graphics.

GUI - Graphic user interface. Basically, it's an interactive element that involves graphics rather than straight text.

HTML - Hyper Text Markup Language - a language that most internet documents are coded in.

HTML Editor - a program that codes HTML while the designer designs. Saves about 80% of the time.

Java - A scripting language which allows us to incorporate many features into your page, including rollover buttons, pop-up menus, and passwords.

PDF Files - Adobe Acrobat Reader Files. Basically it allows people to print out documents that you have that might not reflect programs they have (in other words, say you created a document in Page Maker, that you would like downloadable, but they don't have Page Maker. It allows the user to view the document and print it without having that software).

Slideshow - An effect with graphics on a page. Either user-controlled or on a timed scale (e.g., every 5 seconds) an image changes.

Upload - the process of taking data off of a computer hard drive and putting it up on the internet.
